Why you should attend

As a Church community, it is our responsibility to address contemporary moral issues including sexual ethics from an Armenian Orthodox perspective. We also have the responsibility to equip Christian educators as well as young parents with the tools to teach about these issues.

A good place to begin addressing these issues is in the Sunday School, specially with our teachers of all grade levels. This can be accomplished by developing a well-reasoned argument and understanding from an Orthodox perspective which in turn could be shared with others.

What you will gain
+ A clear articulation of the Orthodox vision of Marriage
+ What’s normative for the world and the church vis-à-vis human sexuality
+ Confidence to discuss typically controversial ethical issues pertaining to human sexuality from a broader biblical context
+ A deeper understanding of interrelated topics such as biblical authority, creation of human beings as male and female, personal autonomy, context of sexuality, contraceptives, …
+ Insights as to how to incorporate age-appropriate concepts in your Sunday School curriculum
+ Networking and fellowship opportunities with other teachers and directors
