The Orphan Sponsorship Program was established in May of 1993 to financially assist children whose fathers had died during the war for the liberation of Artsakh.  The program was expanded to assist all orphaned children in Armenia and Artsakh.

To date more than 1,300 orphans have benefited from this program which is financed by individual donors who sponsor one or more orphans with an annual contribution of $225 for each child. The collected money is fully transferred to Armenia and, through the Saint Nerses The Great Organization (the charitable agency of the Prelacy), bimonthly stipends are provided to every orphan in the program.

The sponsors are provided with the name, address and other information about the child they sponsor and are encouraged to maintain direct communication with the child.
