Impressions from Datevatzies

Khoogas Mekaelian (Post Graduate) - Two days have now gone by at this rigorous, wisdom-imparting summer Christian Studies Institute, and I have learned an immense amount of information about my faith in these past two days. The clergymen are so willing to help us out in the path of Christ; the lessons are bound to become part of me for the rest of my life. The classes are short, sweet, and packed with much insight. I love the spiritual direction I receive daily.

Jasmine Yedigarian (4th Year Student) - Be careful when you come to Datev: something life-changing might happen to you! That was my experience coming for the first time at the age of 16. The result was later getting baptized in the Armenian Church in the name of the Father, the Son, and especially the Holy Spirit. This is my fourth year at Datev so far, and I am enjoying every single minute of it! I have learned a lot so far about the New Testament, the Badarak, and prayer so far this week. I look forward to whatever the hard-working clergy and volunteers have planned for us next!
Joe Zaatar (3rd Year Student) - Hayr Taniel’s dismissal concluded our second day of classes here at Datev. There was something about the way we looked at each other. To an outsider, they would’ve thought that we had met each other for the first time. I guess that’s the way things happen at Datev, as we experience and finally understand the truths about our faith, it isn’t uncommon to see expressions of bewilderment, amazement and even shock on our faces, as the truth of God sobers, enlightens, and transforms us...
Sareen Streeter and Shoghag Aktavoukian (2nd Year Student) - So far Datev has been an exciting experience for us second level datevatsis. We have built many friendships with our peers. The great memories we have had with our new friends will always stay with us. These past two years we have felt closer to God than ever before. We are definitely looking forward to the upcoming days, for more fun and learning.
